First among his chief promises is to combat corruption immediately That has everyone applauding loudly But until today, all the major cases are still one big mystery Lack of evidence or is he fooling us secretly? Not long after, he introduced Islam Hadhari Some complained there is only one version of Islam from the Almighty Anyway, what is it all about, no one knows exactly Except for some broad points outlined in theory. Then, he said we need to cut our budget deficit quickly Which started the dismantling of Tun M’s legacy This caused us to hear about the crooked bridge flip flop story With all the accusations, what is fiction and what is reality? By his own admission, his son is extremely wealthy Because he controls a listed company by the name of Scomi Was once implicated in the shipment of banned components to a Middle Eastern country But his son claimed ignorance and that’s the end of the story. He also has a son-in-law by the name of Khairy Not elected but is UMNO Youth’s deputy Got entangled in the merged Avenue-ECM Libra entity Which happened right under the nose of the PM-led Finance Ministry. Then, we came across a foreign newspaper reporting factually Of his adventure to see a yacht at a faraway place somewhere in Turkey This is not true, he said insistently But I don’t see the newspaper issuing any apology. Next, came the jet on the itinerary Bought or leased, he is lucky that Malaysians are not financially savvy The jet is also for the Agong’s use, he said publicly I wonder whether the Agong requested for one specifically? Later, we read of his holidays in an Australian city Staying in a mansion owned by someone whom an old man named as Patrick Badawi We shouldn’t be so critical if he was only away temporarily Except for the fact that there was a major flood in our own territory. Then, we get the case of Proton disposing off a subsidiary Not for a large amount but for a mere penny Many think behind the deal something’s very fishy Tun M’s pet project is certainly going awry. Overall, crime rates are going up highly Confidence in our police is at its lowest historically But the IGP got his tenure extended easily He must be thinking everything’s hunky-dory. He has also been busy launching economic regions lately Trying to attract foreign investments into the country Sadly, some are saying that the northern development is benefiting a crony While others argue the southern one will end up as LKY’s colony. You see, I can go on and on about this indefinitely Because it is easy and I do not need to create any of them individually They are all plucked from the web where the stories about him is a plenty From promoting judges unfairly to always being sleepy. Actually, I am just an ordinary Malaysian who cares about her country And I have to state that I am not against him or his policy For I do not care who is the Perdana Menteri As long as the person is capable and trustworthy.

Powerman Sprint duathlon

This being my first race made me nervous since 2 months ago. I don't have high expectations on this race and I only aim to finish it it good condition. Before the race, met some frens and mingled around to calm my nerves. Took a few pics and monkeyed around some more. I think this was where I got it wrong - I should have stood quietly for a while to strategize, size up my competition and focus for the race. Well, it didn't help also if you have frens like mine who like to psycho each other before the race starts! He relates to us the following account that illustrates to us the depth of fatherly feeling that the Prophet (peace be upon him) possessed. He says: The Prophet (peace be upon him) had begun to address us when his little grandchildren al-Hasan and al-Husayn approached him. They were both wearing red shirts. They were tripping over themselves and getting up again. The Prophet (peace be upon him) came down from the pulpit, picked them up, and then carried them up onto the pulpit with him. He then said: "Allah spoke the truth when He said: 'Your wealth and your children are but a trial.' When I saw these two, I couldn't resist." Then he commenced to deliver the sermon. KUALA LUMPUR 7 Nov. - Kementerian Keselamatan Dalam Negeri (KKDN) tidak pernah memberi kebenaran kepada sebuah pertubuhan yang dikenali sebagai Bersih untuk mengadakan perhimpunan di Dataran Merdeka, 10 November ini.

Timbalan Menterinya, Datuk Johari Baharom berkata, setakat hari ini, polis tidak mengeluarkan permit untuk pehimpunan itu dan sekiranya dianjurkan juga, ia boleh dianggap sebagai perhimpunan haram.

Beliau berkata, pertubuhan itu pernah menghantar borang permohonan mendapatkan permit pada 3 November lepas dan berdasarkan kepada perkara-perkara tertentu, polis tidak mengeluarkan permit kebenaran untuk mengadakan perhimpunan tersebut.

Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim PERKARA: KERAJAAN YANG SEMAKIN LESU BERGELUMANG DALAM RASUAH DI BAWAH KEPIMPINAN DATO' SERI ABDULLAH AHMAD BADAWI, PERDANA MENTERI MALAYSIA Patik merafak sembah memohon Tuanku mencemar Duli membaca warkah perutusan rintihan rakyat. Ampun Tuanku. Negara kita sekarang berada dalam keadaan gawat dan tidak menentu masa depannya. Pimpinan Kerajaan makin lesu, tidak teratur, bergelumang dalam rasuah dan komplot politik. Negara tidak lagi bergerak maju dan rakyat sudah merasa jauh ketinggalan berbanding keadaan sebelum ini. Ekonomi negara digembar-gemburkan oleh Kerajaan sebagai sihat dan melonjak tetapi dari mana dan ke mana terlonjaknya rakyat tidak dapat merasainya. Politik negara makin tegang dengan tercetusnya berbagai jenis masalah dan komplot yang hampir semuanya tidak menemui penyelesaian yang baik. Rusuhan sudah bermula di sana-sini dan ketegangan perkauman dan keagamaan semakin meningkat. Ampun Tuanku, izinkan patik menyenaraikan antara keadaan yang ada seperti berikut: 1) Dua rakyat Terengganu telah ditembak oleh Polis baru-baru ini. Kerajaan menutup kes ini dengan menghantar 'hamper' kepada mangsa tembakan. Ke mana lagi rakyat boleh mengadu? 2) Rusuhan dan pembunuhan yang telah berlaku di Kuala Lumpur , Pulau Pinang dan Johor dalam minggu sambutan Ulangtahun Merdeka ke-50. Patik khuatir, jika rusuhan ini sebenarnya tidak mempunyai sebab, melainkan diwar-warkan oleh orang tertentu yang tidak bertanggungjawab. 3) Laporan Ketua Audit Negara yang mendedahkan rasuah dan penyelewengan wang rakyat oleh Kerajaan yang mengakibatkan kerugian berbilion Ringgit. Namun, Laporan Ketua Audit Negara tidak memberi kesan kepada sesiapa pun, terutama sekali kepada Kerajaan. Penyelewengan wang rakyat masih berterusan dari tahun ke tahun, walaupun pendedahan dilakukan saban tahun dalam Laporan Ketua Audit Negara. 4) RM4.6 bilion wang rakyat telah dibazirkan untuk menutup penyelewengan pembelian tanah di Pelabuhan Klang. Begitu juga lebih RM5.35 bilion telah disalahgunakan dalam pembelian kapal perang bagi tentera laut. Kerajaan langsung tidak pedulikan Laporan Ketua Audit Negara. 4) Polis Di Raja Malaysia sekarang sudah tercemar dengan rasuah dan pengaruh anasir jahat sehingga bekas Ketua Polis Negara Tun Haniff Omar telah berkata lebih 40% pegawai atasan Polis terlibat dalam rasuah. 5) Keluhuran undang-undang dan perjalanan sistem keadilan makin hancur, sepertimana didakwa oleh beberapa Pegawai Polis yang berpangkat, menerusi Pengakuan Berkanun. Mereka mendakwa bahawa kumpulan jenayah besar sekarang sudah mempengaruhi Polis Di Raja Malaysia . Sekali lagi Pengakuan Berkanun oleh Pegawai Polis ini tidak disiasat atau diambil tindakan oleh Kerajaan. 6) Keadaan institusi kehakiman negara juga amat membimbangkan di mana hakim yang lebih berpengalaman dan lebih berkelayakan dipinggirkan manakala hakim yang tidak berpengalaman termasuk hakim yang mempunyai kecacatan dalam rekod perkhidmatan dinaikkan pangkat. Walaupun perkara ini disebut dan dibuktikan di Parlimen, iaitu Dewan tertinggi untuk menyuarakan kebimbangan rakyat, Kerajaan tidak mengendahkannya dan tiada tindakan diambil bagi memperbaiki keadaan. Sebaliknya, Perdana Menteri yang tidak faham 'separation of powers' telah 'mengarah' Ketua Hakim Negara menyiapkan laporan untuk menjelaskan keadaan. Mengikut Perlembagaan Persekutuan, Perdana Menteri tidak mempunyai kuasa memberi sebarang arahan kepada Ketua Hakim Negara. Tetapi itulah keadaan dalam negara kita sekarang, sehingga Perdana Menteri sendiri tidak faham tatacara Kerajaan. 7) Ketegangan kaum dan agama semakin meruncing dalam negara kita. Laporan rusuhan kaum di Masai, Johor dan di Pulau Pinang dan Kuala Lumpur mewakili rasa ketidakpuasan rakyat yang boleh mencetuskan rusuhan perkauman. 8) Nama Perdana Menteri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi tersabit dalam skandal 'Oil-for Food' di Iraq. Nama anak beliau Kamaluddin Abdullah dan syarikat Scomi kepunyaannya tersabit dalam skandal 'nuclear parts for Libya'. Nama anak menantu beliau Khairy Jamaluddin tersabit dalam berbagai percaturan wang (ECM Libra, Equine Capital, Air Asia dan sebagainya). Namun demikian tidak ada tindakan yang diambil terhadap Perdana Menteri atau ahli keluarganya. Ke mana lagi rakyat dapat mengadu? 9) Pilihan raya dipermainkan oleh alat Kerajaan. Pilihan raya kecil mendedahkan penyalahgunaan harta Kerajaan untuk membantu parti politik yang berkuasa. Isu pengundi hantu masih berleluasa sewaktu pilihan raya. Kita perlu memperbaiki sistem pilihan raya yang masih diperalatkan dengan begitu mudah oleh parti memerintah. Rakyat tidak lagi mempunyai tempat untuk mengadu. 10) Kes pembunuhan Altantuya Shaaribuu jelas mendedahkan persubahatan jahat antara pemimpin Kerajaan, pentadbiran Kerajaan, Polis Di Raja Malaysia dan Pendakwaraya. Sehingga kini, saksi Polis telah membawa 'watak lucu' yang langsung tidak serius. Diari siasatan yang hilang, Laporan Polis berlainan mengenai kes yang sama dan persaksian bercanggah yang disengajakan akan memastikan bahawa yang tertuduh akan terlepas daripada dakwaan membunuh. Lebih penting lagi, pembunuh yang sebenarnya langsung tidak akan dihadapkan ke mahkamah. Rekod keluar masuk mangsa bunuh Altantuya yang sepatutnya disimpan dalam komputer Jabatan Imigresen telah lenyap tanpa sebab yang munasabah. Memandangkan Altantuya tersabit penglibatannya dengan beberapa orang kenamaan dan pemimpin tinggi Kerajaan dalam kontrak pembelian kapal selam bernilai berbilion Ringgit, jelas bahawa tangan yang tercemar berkuasa melenyapkan rekod Jabatan Imigresen dan juga mempengaruhi perjalanan penyiasatan Polis dan Pendakwaraya. Ampun Tuanku. Kebimbangan rakyat tidak terhad kepada sepuluh perkara ini sahaja tetapi senarai ini cukup untuk menyatakan keresahan rakyat Tuanku. Ke mana rakyat Tuanku akan merayu lagi? Ampun Tuanku. Patik sembah mohon Tuanku mencemar Duli mendengar rayuan rakyat Tuanku. Patik sembah mohon Tuanku mencemar Duli menangani keadaan gawat dalam negara kita. Ampun Tuanku. Patik tidak datang keseorangan memohon Tuanku mencemar Duli. Patik bersama ini menyembahkan kepada Tuanku, senarai tandatangan 10,000 rakyat Tuanku. Portal web Malaysia Today juga mengumpul tandatangan secara online di: http://malaysia-today.net/blog2006/Announcements.php?itemid=8121 dan dalam 24 jam pertama, telah mendapat 3,000 tandatangan dan jumlahnya terus bertambah. Patik menyembah Duli memohon ampun sekiranya surat ini kasar dan terlalu kuat tetapi memandangkan kesemua pintu telah tertutup dan segala jalan untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang ada telah terputus, maka patik merafak sembah kepada Tuanku untuk menolong rakyat Tuanku. SOURCE: Malaysia Today At 11.00am this morning, a delegation from BERSIH went to the Istana Negara to hand deliver a letter to Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Alwathiqubillah Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin ibni Almarhum Sultan Mahmud Almuktafi Billah Shah. The letter was basically to inform Tuanku about the rakyat’s ‘visit’ to the Istana on Saturday, 10 November 2007. The Istana has asked BERSIH to submit the names of the representatives of the 100,000 delegation who will be going into the Istana to deliver the Rakyat’s Memorandum. Invariably, 100,000 people will not be able to go into the Istana. This is an indication that Tuanku has perkenan (consented) to receive the representatives of the 100,000 delegation.

Memperkukuh keyakinan - Meneroka era baru UCAPAN dasar Presiden UMNO, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi di Perhimpunan Agung UMNO Ke-58 di Pusat Dagangan Dunia Putera (PWTC) pada Rabu, 7 November, 2007. MUKADIMAH Alhamdulillah, dengan izin dan rahmat dari Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala, kita sekali lagi dapat berhimpun untuk melangsungkan Perhimpunan Agung UMNO kali ke lima puluh lapan. 2. Perhimpunan Agung UMNO kali ini, berlangsung ketika negara baru merayakan ulang tahun kemerdekaan kali kelima puluh. Perhimpunan ini juga merupakan Perhimpunan Agung UMNO yang pertama untuk 50 tahun akan datang. Bermula dari pilihan raya umum tahun 1955, UMNO di bawah parti PERIKATAN telah menubuhkan kerajaan berasaskan perkongsian kuasa. Negara mencapai kemerdekaan dalam tahun 1957. 3. Pelbagai cabaran terpaksa dihadapi oleh Kerajaan Persekutuan Tanah Melayu yang dianggap kurang berpengalaman. Dua belas tahun selepas merdeka, kita diuji dengan rusuhan kaum yang mengancam keutuhan negara. Alhamdulillah, berkat dari permuafakatan dan semangat kerjasama yang jitu, segala rintangan berjaya diatasi. Titik hitam tersebut menjadi satu tauladan, memberi pengajaran paling berharga bahawa perpaduan kaum haruslah diperkukuhkan dan segala kelemahan haruslah diatasi. 4. Berikutan tragedi ini, Kerajaan telah memperkenalkan tiga pendekatan utama. Rukun Negara diperkenalkan sebagai ideologi negara bagi mengukuhkan perpaduan demi keutuhan tanah air. Dasar Ekonomi Baru dirangka bagi memajukan ekonomi berasaskan pertumbuhan pesat dan pengagihan yang adil lagi saksama. Manakala Barisan Nasional ditubuhkan sebagai formula politik paling berkesan lagi inklusif. Tiga pendekatan utama ini telah menyumbang kepada kejayaan, kemakmuran dan survival negara. 5. Kita telah mendapat sokongan majoriti rakyat bagi menubuhkan Kerajaan secara berterusan selama 52 tahun. Rekod cemerlang ini dicapai hasil dari kepimpinan yang bijaksana serta komitmen parti-parti komponen dalam BARISAN NASIONAL. Rekod cemerlang ini adalah hasil dari kebijaksanaan UMNO menjalin kerjasama dengan kaum-kaum bukan Melayu berlandaskan budaya muafakat dan berkongsi kuasa. GOMBAK: The mother had only started working about a month ago after years as a housewife. They had been looking for someone to look after their older daughter.

Their only son was away at a boarding school and their younger daughter was at the baby-sitter's place. Nine-year-old Preeshena Varshiny was home alone.

On Thursday, the family paid a heavy price for leaving her alone without a minder. The little girl was raped, sodomised and murdered before being pushed off the balcony at the posh Casa Mila Tower condominium in Selayang.

Police believe someone with access to the condominium could have been responsible for the vicious crime.

The condominium is a gated community and anyone who wants to access the premise must first report to the guardhouse.

“We are investigating this,” Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Abdullah said, adding that police also believed somebody at the condominium could have seen the girl being lured out from her unit.

The actual title for the talk is "School: Is Your Child Ready?". (2) We have planned for the talk since September and have invited the speakers (Pn Zairani & Ruth Liew) by then. We have made bookings for the venue and all soon after Raya holidays, BEFORE Nurin Alert was publicised. (3) I read about Nurin Alert in one of the local newspaper and thought it would be good to invite them to come and share with the parents who are coming for the talk on what it is all about and how they can help too. It is to show support to the committee since we have a talk planned for parents, so why not share this information with these parents? (4) Pls note that our main speakers are given 1.5 hours each to talk on their own topics (pls refer to the flyer) and Nurin Alert Committe is to share for 20-30 mins. Al-Mujadilah (She Who Pleaded) Chapter 58: Verse 11 (Partial) The Heirs of the Prophet Allah will raise up in degrees those of you who believe and those who have been granted knowledge. There is no doubt, that the scholars disparaging, and putting one another down, is a deed that is forbidden. It is forbidden for a person to back-bite his Brother Muslim - even if he is not a scholar - so how is it permissible for him to back-bite his Brother scholars from among the Believers? The one who is afflicted with this disease must realise that when he puts a scholar down, it will be a cause for what the scholar says of Truth to also be rejected. He must realise that when he puts down a scholar, he is not just putting him down personally, but he is putting down one of the heirs of the Prophet; as the scholars are the heirs of the Prophets. He must also realise that if he puts down and criticises the scholars, the people will no longer trust the Knowledge that they have, which is passed on from the Prophet. Therefore, they will not trust anything from the Shariah that is presented by that scholar who is being criticised. [read more here]

Photographs of a wages slip showing his monthly salary of £139,634 were sent to email addresses around the web and were shown on Internet forums. 'We are taking it very seriously and we are investigating,' said a club spokesman. The payslip also revealed the player's home address and national insurance number. A Merseyside Police spokesman said the force had yet to receive a complaint about the matter.

Al-Farabi

Abu Nasr Mohammad Ibn al-Farakh Al-Farabi was born to a noble family in the small village of Wasij, in the province of Farab in Turkestan, in 872 AD (259 AH). His works included several rich commentaries on Aristotle's physics, meteorology, and logic - in addition to a large number of books on several other subjects embodying his original contributions. As a result, he was called the "Second Teacher" (al-Mou'allim al-Thani) - with Aristotle being the "First".

Al-Farabi had a great desire to understand the universe and humankind, and to understand the latter's place within the former, so as to ascertain a comprehensive and intellectual picture of the world and of society as a whole. When he undertook his meticulous study of ancient philosophy, particularly of Plato and Aristotle, he absorbed the components of Platonic and Neo-Platonic philosophy, which he then integrated into his knowledge of the Qur'an and the various sciences derived from it.
