In light of this background, a group of former students and staff of MRSM have met, deliberated, and moved forward a common idea that has been crystallizing for many years in many places: “creating a properly managed medium to galvanize the wide-ranging networking potential and resources of former MRSM students & staff.” Initially working on the idea of a Limited Company, our study of the pros & cons, and objectives of galvanizing our individual and wide-ranging strengths, concluded that only a Cooperative would be able to meet most of these conceptual phiosophy and objectives than any other medium.

TEST DRIVE, PROTON PERSONA

Jauh tuu harris p test drive Persona... kat KL takdak ka.?? /mod KUANTAN, 18/8/2007: Location: GIANT KUANTAN, PAHANG. AGENDA: UP CLOSE AN PERSONAL with the new PROTON PERSONA.... REPORT: My first thought, "WHY DOES THIS CAR LOOK SO FAMILIAR" .... Then it strikes me.... "TOYOTA VIOS" .... noooooo .. it cant be. Maybe the way it was display, and add some extra lighting etc... VIOLA .... ( serius, masa tu, aku n wife n sepupu agree, dari sudut tepi, nampak macam VIOS, n my cousin DRIVES a TOYOTA, camry that is). So, 1st thing. BOOT SIZE. ..... As compared to my SAGA, PERSONA's BOOT ROOM, is quite spacious. I can fit 2, " 3 ball bowling bag " inside... IT IS NOT WIDE, but built further down .. (panjang ler sikit) .... BUT, the SPEAKERS n WIRING are not concealed properly, (they shld have put a SOFT BOARD, the very least)... NEXT, BACK SET ..... OK wa cakap lu ... (IHSAN, there is a few inches extra lahhh)... if the driver and the CO PILOT is not YAO MING, it think, the passenger will be very comfortable indeed. Generous leg room. HIGH ROOF .. (THIS IS IHSAN MAIN CONCERNS).... so ... if 3 full grown adults duduk belakang .... it will be not as cramped as your normal SEDAN .... NEXT, the COCKPIT...... hmmmmm, Better design than the GEN 2 ... looks can be deceiving ..... still the same plastiky feel ... but ... COME ON LAAHHHH, you are not buying a MASERATI or BMW M6....... ... extra leg room, so that you will be relaxed and have a smooth drive either to the grocery shop 400 metres away, or a 7 hours drive back to BESUT / SETIU...... DRIVE / HANDLING: Maybe I was tooo impressed by the looks, i seems to feel that, I am driving a VOLVO S40... hehehehe (getting overboard here)... ok back to reality .... it is a smooth as a normal sedan ... I dont think that the engine is as efficient as HONDA IDSI or TOYOTA VVTI. But, it is not damn incompetent as KIA's own SPECTRA .... back to test drive ...( as you know, jalan-jalan in KUANTAN nie, byk ler sgt tak rata nya) so considering WHAT I AM DRIVING ... it is quite satisfying to know that, LOTUS has done a competent JOB..... ABS, AIRBAG etc ... aku tak rasa as bumpy as when I did in a WAJA ... nor did i hear SQUEKING SOUND when I was in a WIRA .... so there, ..... another satisfied potential customer. CONCLUSION: Bear in mind, I am comparing like for like in terms of RM, RM , RM , RM , RM ....... MAYBE proton is going in the right direction ...... PROTON 55k vs KIA 55k? Then ... no question, I wll choose PROTON ....(parts pun easily available n murah) ... FOR TOYOTA or HONDA to be at the same PRICE RANGE, I have to wait for 4-6 years ... VIOS 2005, CITY 2003/04 is within the price range ....But another EXTRA FROM PERSONA = 175,000 km warranty .... JAUH TU ...... ... So my point of view ..... RM 55.6k for a full spec PERSONA, is far worth it if you are comparing LIKE for LIKE .. and at 45k for a basic model .... I rather BUY NOW, rather than, wait 5 years to buy a USED VIOS.. YOUR CALL. In this country, although almost every child attends public school, it is customary that parents still sent their children to tuition centre as an additional effort to get their children attains good result in exams thus providing them better chances to be admitted into better schools or local universities. However, in my point of view, this exam orientated mindset does not have the ability to produce citizens with plenty of resources and skills to earn their living. As a result, typical people that live in boxes are created throughout the country's 50 years history of independence. But nobody is to be blamed because this is how our fathers and forefathers had been educated since the British came 300 years ago. In Malaysia, our education system still follow the aging British system. Although after time and time of alteration by our ministry of education, a lot of criticisms still risen by both parents and educators because the constant changes and heavier load for the teachers and students. Students in school does not enjoy learning anymore compare to the time of discovering their early childhood. Educational books is read only because they are told to read it, not driven by intrigue, not even by the interest of the mind. But maybe it is not that they do not love knowledge, it is only not the right kind of knowledge that had been taught by Rasullullah SAW or maybe not the kind of knowledge that Allah wants this kids to have. An open eye might be able to pinpoint elements of Materialism, Darwinism, Secularism and Capitalism in our current educational curricular. For example, the first sentence in Form 1 Science textbook read as follow: “Science is a study of natural phenomena” which is clearly a Darwin's quote. Furthermore, the disentanglement of religious teaching from civil affairs and public teaching is the way of Secularist.

However, because there has never been found or created a better education system to cater for our diversified ethnicity and religions in this country, this issue is still hanging in the air. Recently, during my research, I had come across through a website, http://www.kinzaacademy.com/, whose among its advisory board are John Taylor Gatto and Syeikh Hamza Yusuf Hanson. Gatto is an expert in US education system and is the author of “Dumbing Us Down”, a book that I've been looking around but without any success. While Syeikh Hamza is a renounce scholar that lots of his lectures is in my hard drive. This academy provides homeschooling curriculum in US and I wish I can look at the contents of all the seven arts of liberal education that the academy provides as well.

A very good educational system must completes the requirement for both this life and the afterlife and also will not only available to an engineer's siblings but also to a rubber tapper's son.

cikgu-cikgi, kengkawan, tempat study belakang/corridor lab & surau, mknn yg best dan berkualiti, kelas 502 yg ceria, environment yg best utk study.... cikgu kesayangan? cikgu norliza, cikgu rozita, cikgu hamid, cikgu sabariah, cikgu majid, cikgu bla bla bla....semua lah...

Idea yg menarik. The best tempat adalah di maktab, dan idea moderator utk cari 2 org setiap kelas pun bagus, cuma make sure yg betul2 boleh komited la. Tapi kena start dah sepatutnya dari sekarang, at least dah ada committee. Usaha pertama dan utama adalah get connected semuanya, macam yg homeroom Delima C buat (tapi boleh juga cari thru kelas). Rasanya cari balik cikgu2 yg berkenaan pun penting sbb ada sebahagiannya dah tak berkhidmat dgn maktab (ni boleh minta bantuan management mrsm la). So moderator....tu jelah kot. 26 July 2007 Dah settle cheques signing (kalau tak buat hari ni, hari Isnin teruk le aku nak kena lari Shah Alam - KL - Shah Alam), terus masuk toll Jalan Duta… Tengah lepak2 bawak keta, tetiba jam teruk kat Sungai Buloh. Rupanya lori roti gardenia terbalik.. Gardenia penyek anyone? Tengah dok terak nak lepas traffic, ada 2 black maria lepas… piker gak aku, pesai la black maria sampai dua, baru teringat penjara sg buloh, maybe kes Mongolia tu kot. 2:15 pm aku 'stuck' kat Sungai Buloh, kol 3:15 pm baru aku lepas… Dekat Tanjung Malim, aku rasa ngantuk giler… (KORANG JANGAN BUAT NI) aku bawak gak sampai ke Tapah. Sampai dalam kol 4 lebih gitu… terus pengsan. Bangun2 dah kol 5 dah.Isi minyak japs, blasah power root tongkat ali dua tin, mata segar bugar le.. Teman aku masa driving – hujan lebat…. Tapi tak seteruk tahun lepas (time tu kira macam ko amik hos bomba tu sembur kat keta & hujan macam tu dari Penang ke KL)

Sampai kat Butterworth abang aku yang nak tumpang aku ke KL plak kata dia stuck kat opis, boss suruh wat kerja. Macam tau je abg aku ni nak outstation. Opis abg aku flexible hours, ko mai la kol brapa, every week ko mesti cukup certain working hrs, blasah la ko nak mai kol 5 pagi, ko abes kol 1 ptg… aku tak sure mcm mana diorang kira OT… Aku dah siap makan dua round tu, blasah char kuey tiaw & meehun sup … heheh, lapa punya pasal pastu dah solat jamak maghrib & isyak lagi. Masa kat meeting tu chairman meeting hidang nasi goreng. + kari ayam, sayur sawi + sambal sotong.. bedal je la, tapi control la beb… takkan aku nak amik gambo makanan nih, mau kena tempeleng kat boss aku, wakakakka Bertolak dari Seberang Jaya dekat2 kol 10 gitu, aku sampai ke rumah aku dlm kol 2 pagi sebab aku bantai tido kat Tapah... dah lama tak buat outstation ni, dah tak larat beb.. dunia kata pergi, kubur kata mari... sekian

An Atheist Professor & A Muslim Student

There was a professor of philosophy who was a deeply committed atheist. His primary goal for one required class was to spend the entire semester attempting to prove that God couldn't exist. His students were always afraid to argue with him because of his impeccable logic. For twenty years, he had taught this class and no one had ever had the courage to go against him. Sure, some had argued in class at times, but no one had ever really gone against him because of his reputation. At the end of every semester on the last day, he would say to his class of 300 students, "If there is anyone here who still believes in God, stand up!" In twenty years, no one had ever stood up. They knew what he was going to do next. He would say, "Because anyone who believes in God is a fool. If God existed, he could stop this piece of chalk from hitting the ground and breaking. Such a simple task to prove that He is God, and yet He can't do it." And every year, he would drop the chalk onto the tile floor of the classroom and it would shatter into a hundred pieces. All of the students would do nothing but stop and stare. Most of the students thought that God couldn't exist. Certainly, a number of Christians had slipped through, but for 20 years, they had been too afraid to stand up. Well, a few years ago there was a freshman who happened to enroll. He was a muslim, and had heard the stories about his professor. He was required to take the class for his major, and he was afraid. But for three months that semester, he prayed every morning that he would have the courage to stand up no matter what the professor said, or what the class thought. Nothing they said could ever shatter his faith... he hoped. Finally, the day came. The professor said, "If there is anyone here who still believes in God, stand up!" The professor and the class of 300 people looked at him, shocked, as he stood up at the back of the classroom. The professor shouted, "You FOOL!!! If God existed, he would keep this piece of chalk from breaking when it hit the ground!" He proceeded to drop the chalk, but as he did, it slipped out of his fingers, off his shirt cuff, onto the pleat of his pants, down his leg, and off his shoe. As it hit the ground, it simply rolled away unbroken. The professor's jaw dropped as he stared at the chalk. He looked up at the young man, and then ran out of the lecture hall. The young man who had stood, proceeded to walk to the front of the room and shared his faith in Islam for the next half hour. 300 students stayed and listened as he told of Allah's love for them and to be the followers Of our beloved prophet Mohammed (saw) DO YOU HAVE THE COURAGE TO STAND UP LIKE THIS YOUNG MUSLIM?
