Can somebody enlighten me with what this guy is doing? Yes its not a great car, but surely you cant expect it to be able to survive a one ton weight on its bonnet and a dynamite blow. Kelisa isnt the best car in Malaysia, but certainly not as bad as some others i.e. Proton. What a waste of money. Did somebody see how much it is to own a brand new Kelisa in UK? Only GBP4824. Thats probably like 2 to 3 months salary of an entry level exec. In Malaysia, 3 months entry level exec i.e. average of 2k per month = 6k, cant even buy you a third hand Proton. Maybe thats why they can afford to blow this car.
p/s: I do NOT own a Kelisa.
you are right, the price of a car is blown out of proportion in Malaysia. In UK you can get a decent brand new second hand car (very low mileage) around 10k which is not bad...
My friend bought a 2 yr-old beemer for 15k & the car still in great condition.
I bought 2004 Mitsubishi Nativa (4WD) for KD4k (RM50k). Petrol is KD0.065/litre and full tank cost me not more than KD4.
In malaysia i only can afford to drive proton/perodua car with tight budget for petrol & toll.
Note : Latest brand new honda accord just cost KD5500 (RM68k)here.
